Schnellecke South Africa was founded in 1995 as the logistics service provider for VWSA. Today Schnellecke SA plays a significant role in the South African automotive industry where our expertise includes, receiving of containers, warehousing according to international quality standards (certified in ISO/TS 14949:2002 & ISO 9000, VDA 6.3), sequencing and various other linefeeding processes and quality management.
Schnellecke South Africa supports different vehicle models in all production environments with a workforce of 1,375 employees and approximately 83,000 mē of warehouse space. In 2005 Schnellecke expanded operations to the Nelson Mandela Bay Logistics Park where we extended our value adding solutions to our cutomers. Customers here include Faurecia, Feltex, Grupo Antolin & Inergy.
As one of the biggest logistics companies in the automotive field in South Africa, Schnellecke moved ahead with its innovative progress, and has now also entered into the sub-assembly business. During 2008, our growth continued, with operations being extended to Gauteng. Clients now include FORD, NISSAN and Delphi.
South Africa offers a host of logistical opportunities, which we will pursue aggresively together with our business partners in the years ahead. In addition, the Schnellecke Group has a strong international presence in Europe, the Far East, South America & North America. This provides a strong foundation for international logistical solutions for all our clients globally.
